Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Folder Suggest ("the add-in", "the service"). By installing or using the add-in, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the add-in.
1. Description of Service
Folder Suggest is an Outlook add-in that uses on-device AI to suggest the most relevant folder for each email you read. All AI processing takes place locally on your device. No email content is transmitted to our servers. The add-in integrates with Microsoft Outlook via the Microsoft Graph API and requires a Microsoft 365 account.
The add-in records your Microsoft account email address and usage timestamps on our servers (Cloudflare D1) once per day. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using Folder Suggest, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA), that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and that you accept these Terms in full. If you are using the add-in on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Acceptable Use
You may use Folder Suggest for personal or business email management in Microsoft Outlook. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the add-in
- Use the add-in in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service or its infrastructure
- Use the add-in to process emails you do not have authorisation to access
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access controls
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service or any related system or network
- Attempt to manipulate, reverse engineer, or interfere with any algorithms or AI models used by the add-in
- Share your account access or enable automatic sign-in on shared or public devices
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the service except through officially supported interfaces
4. Microsoft Account and Graph API
The add-in requires you to authenticate with your Microsoft account via OAuth 2.0. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Microsoft account credentials. The add-in requests only the minimum permissions required to function (Mail.Read, Mail.ReadWrite). You can revoke these permissions at any time via myapps.microsoft.com. Please note that revoking permissions will result in the add-in no longer being able to access your email data, thus severely limiting its functionality.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The add-in is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The add-in will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times
- Folder suggestions will be accurate, relevant, or suitable for your purposes
- The add-in will be compatible with all versions of Outlook or all operating systems
- Any defects will be corrected
You use the add-in entirely at your own risk and discretion.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Folder Suggest shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the add-in, including but not limited to:
- Loss of emails or data resulting from incorrect folder suggestions
- Unauthorised access to your Microsoft account
- Interruption or unavailability of the service
- Any other loss or damage arising from your use of the add-in
Without limiting the foregoing, we expressly disclaim any liability for emails that are moved to an incorrect folder, emails that are delayed, lost, or made inaccessible as a result of the add-in's suggestions or any action taken based on those suggestions, or any security breach or unauthorised access to your email account beyond our reasonable control.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed €100 (one hundred euros), regardless of the cause of action.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the add-in, including but not limited to source code, design, and documentation, are owned by the developer. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property other than a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the add-in for its intended purpose.
8. Termination
You may stop using the add-in at any time by uninstalling it via Outlook's add-in manager. We reserve the right to discontinue the service or modify its features at any time without prior notice. We also reserve the right to terminate your access to the add-in if you breach these Terms.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the add-in after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
12. Pre-launch Users and Free Plan Eligibility
Users who used the add-in prior to its commercial launch may be identified from usage records and offered a free plan tier at the developer's sole discretion. This is not a guarantee. The criteria, timing, and terms of any such offer will be determined by the developer and communicated separately. Using the add-in does not create any entitlement to a free or discounted plan.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer of Folder Suggest and any affiliates, officers, agents, or contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the add-in; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party; or (d) any content, data, or information you process through the add-in.
14. User Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, ideas, or other input regarding the add-in ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sub-licensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate such Feedback into the add-in or any other product or service, without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you. You are not obligated to provide Feedback.
15. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war or terrorism, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, actions or omissions of third-party service providers (including Microsoft, Cloudflare, or other hosting and infrastructure providers), cyberattacks, or labour disputes.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding your use of the add-in and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, proposals, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter hereof.
17. No Waiver
The failure of the developer to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will be effective only if in writing and signed by the developer.
